I am Leaving Entrecard
After much consideration and thought, I am leaving Entrecard along with my husband, Chilly on October 5th.
We do not feel Entrecard is giving enough credit to those who have worked to earn credits to place their widget on our blogs. We also do not agree or like the fact Entrecard can put whatever kind of ad. they want there as well.
All of you, who have placed ads on my blog. will continue to run but I will not be accepting any further new ones. I appreciate all of you visiting my blog and leaving comments to me. I really enjoy coming to all of your blogs as well and will continue to visit. My blog will remain active and I will continue to add new things to it.
Thank you again and I hope to see all of you even after October 5th.

Wanda, I know it feels sad to be leaving entrecard but in the long run it will be one of the best things you do for your blog. It took me less than 2 months to regain then top the traffic I was once getting from them. The best part is my bounce rate has decreased significantly. If you want something to replace EC you might want to try Adgitize. It is a really nice program and if you participate it will pay you more than the cost of the $14 advertising and unlike EC if you advertise you only have to visit 51 sites. They also give you credits for blogging so that is a nice incentive to blog on a regular basis.

When quality blogs like yours start leaving Entrecard it says everything about the clueless people running - and ruining - Entrecard.
Hope to see you on Adgitize, which costs $14 a month to advertise on but also gives you the chance to earn money, something I'm sure your blog will do without any problem.
Wanda,I'm sorry to hear that you are leaving entre card.I have always enjoyed this blog and will be adding you to my reader just so that I can con tinue to read your blog.I have not made my mind up yet,as to leave or not.But I have voiced my opion on a few occasions on the Entre Card blog and in the rants that I posted on my blog.
It seems like every month or two, the folks at EntreCard do something stupid again, and more and more good blogs leave. I'll probably stick around for a little longer, but I continue to put less and less effort into EntreCard.
I will second what Mom's and The Caledonian both say. I encourage you to check out Adgitize. I make money off of Adgitize and get more traffic than I do from EntreCard ads.
If you do use other advertising networks, I'd encourage you to stop by and fill out a survey that I have up about different networks people use. I hope some of your readers will do the same.
I'll write up results of the survey in a few days as I get more responses.

I use cmf ads. Have you used them? A lot of unhappy entrecarders have ended up there. I like the way they run things much more. Plus it has a fairly active and friendly forum.

Entrecard used to be a great widget for us bloggers... but they just went over the limit..
You'll benefit more without Entrecard, believe me, I know.
I made lists of all my own favourite bloggers, and I try to go visit them as much as I can. I've never missed Entrecard since I quit.

Like I commented on Chilly's blog, I'm with you guys. It's too bad EC is destined to become a "clickfarm" - it's a great premise, but who wants to pay for something that should be fun? Especially with all the credit "fees" they have now.

I have to agree with so many of the comments. I haven't missed Entrecard from the day I left them. I haven't joined any other program but don't really seem to need it. I think that your blog can stand on its own, as far as that goes. But it might be nice to make a bit of extra cash with some of the other advertising programs out there.
